Rasis é o nome latinizado de Abū Bakr Muhammad Zakariyyā Rāzī (em persa: ابوبكر محمّد زکرياى رازى Abūbakr Mohammad-e Zakariyā-ye Rāzī, também conhecido por Rhazes (/ˈrɑːziːz/)[4]; 854–925 CE). Foi um Persa[5][6][7] polímata, alquimista, filósofo e uma importante figura na história da medicina, muitas vezes tido como o maior médico do mundo islâmico.[8]. Ele também escreveu sobre lógica, astronomia e gramática[9]

The most notable medical authors who followed the epoch of the great translators were Persian in nationality but Arab in language: 'Ali al-Tabari, al-Razi, 'Ali ibn-al-'Abbas al-Majusi and ibn-Sina.
