WASP-1 は、アンドロメダ座の方角の約1,300光年の位置にある恒星である。太陽と比べて、大きく重いF型主系列星で、金属に富んでいる[2]。

惑星系

2006年、スーパーWASPプロジェクトによって、トランジット法によって太陽系外惑星、WASP-1bが発見された[4]。WASP-1bはWASP-1に近い軌道を2.5日で周回する木星型惑星（ホット・ジュピター）だと考えられている。
