Southern Lamington is a rural locality in the Scenic Rim Region, Queensland, Australia. [2] It borders New South Wales.[3] In the 2021 census, Southern Lamington had "no people or a very low population".[1]

Geography

The terrain is mountainous with numerous peaks including:

  • Mount Razorback (1,052 metres (3,451 ft)) (28°15′23″S 153°07′38″E / 28.2564°S 153.1272°E / -28.2564; 153.1272 (Mount Razorback))[4]

The locality is entirely within the Lamington National Park.[3]

History

The locality was named and bounded by Minister on 31 January 2003.[2]
